Starting is Easy

After you sign up, we’ll introduce you to your bookkeeper. They’ll get to know your business and gather everything they need from you. For communication and  collaboration, we work with what you have and already are used to; Skype, Slack, Whatsapp, Zoom, Teamwork, Trello..etc

Firstly, we will get some basic information from you, it’s all in our Bunkor Welcome Package. Request it here >

Step 2: Access

We will work together to grant Bunkor access to your accounting software.

Step 3: Receipts

Mail in your hard copy receipts and we digitize them for you to access from any where. They are entered into your books and stored in our secure facility. 

Step 4: Banking

For access to your bank statements, PayPal, Stripe…etc, you can either upload the documents to our secure encrypted server, or grant us access with a username.

Step 5: Expenses

We get all your expenses from the receipts and bank statements.

Step 6: Sales

We work with all ecommerce platforms  (Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, Wix, Square..etc). You can either upload the documents to our secure encrypted server, or grant us access with a username.

5 Steps to Our Bookkeeping

Proper bookkeeping is one of the most important things you can do to ensure your business is successful. It guides your money management and indicates the health of your company. Any critical decision that you need to make will require good information. Without accurate books you are flying blind, just using hunches, your gut, and incorrect data (without even knowing it). We have 5 steps that we follow every month for your books.

1. Record Transactions

First we add transactions to your accounting software. Many business owners think that doing their own bookkeeping is just this step, but this is just the first step.

2. Reconcile the Bank

Reconciling is the cornerstone of proper bookkeeping. We take the end of the month balance from the bank of credit card statement, and reconcile that amount back to your books. This check ensures that all transactions were recorded and that there are no duplicate or missing transactions. It always come back to the bank as these are the most concrete facts.

3. Review Process

Every good professional needs quality control, and this one is ours. We review to make sure that all the transactions were recorded accurately. This includes such things as:

  • The bank feeds have no leftover items,
  • Check balances in Undeposited Funds account,
  • Check Profit and Loss for unexpected or missing business,
  • Check Balance Sheet for unusual balances,
  • Check financial ratios, and
  • Investigate any areas you have concern.

4. Revisions and Adjustments

The review process will result in revisions and adjustments. This continual process keeps your books correct and accurate.

5. Secure Data

When we are both happy with the books, we lock the month to prevent any accidental changes that throw the books off. Once they are closed, you know you can rely on your books. The reports can be trusted and you will really know how your business is doing. Use your financial data to plan and forecast your business.
